Giraffe Stethoscope Cozy ​Free Crochet Pattern Courtesy of ​Oui Crochet Supplies: Sizes K and F crochet hooks Stitch markers Button Worsted weight yarn (I used 100% cotton) Yellow, Blue (optional), Ecru, & Brown

Special Instructions:​ This pattern is worked in a spiral. We do not join rounds. We will mark the first stitch of the round, and move the marker up with each round. Pattern: For the Stethoscope Cozy: With your K hook, ch 10 Join with slip at to first ch to form a ring. Round 1:​ Ch 1, sc in same ch as join, sc in each ch around, do not join. (10) Rounds 2-69:​ Sc in each stitch around. (10) Round 70:​ [sc 1, 2 sc in next st, sc 2, 2sc in next st] twice. (14) Round 71:​ [sc 1, 2 sc in next st, sc 4, 2sc in next st] twice. (18) Round 72:​ [sc 1, 2 sc in next st, sc 6, 2sc in next st] twice. (22) Round 73: ​ [sc 1, 2 sc in next st, sc 8, 2sc in next st] twice. (26) Round 74:​ [sc 1, 2 sc in next st, sc 10, 2sc in next st] twice. (30) Round 75:​ sc 6, ch 7, skip 1 stitch, sc in next stitch (button loop made), sc 22, slip stitch to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends. Attach button to back. Attach appliques.

For the Giraffe Applique: Using your K hook, and beginning with Ecru, ch 2. Round 1:​ Sc 6 in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st to 1st sc. (6) Round 2:​ Ch 1, beginning in same st as join, 2 sc in each st around. Join with sl st to 1st sc. (12) Round 3:​ Ch 1, beginning in same st as join, [1 sc, sc 2 in the next st] repeat around. Join with sl st to 1st sc. (18) Drop ecru and switch to yellow. Shape Head Row 4: ​Ch 1, beginning in same st as join, [2 sc, sc 2 in the next st] twice, sl st in the next sc. Turn. (8) Row 5:​ Ch 1, sl st in first sc, sc 6, sl st in next sc. Turn. (6) Row 6:​ Ch 1, sc 3, sc 2 in the next st, sc 3. Turn. (8) Row 7:​ Ch 1, sc 8. Turn. (8) Row 8:​ Ch 1, sc 8, DO NOT TURN. Round 9:​ Ch 1, sc 4 evenly down the side of the yellow, sl st into the back loop of the next st in round, sl st 11, sc 4 evenly up the the side of yellow to the top, ch 1, sl st into beg ch 1 space. Turn Switch to F hook Make Ears:​ Ch 4, sl st into same ch 1 space, forming a ring. Turn, sc 7 in ring. Finish off. Make the other ear the same way, joining to the ch 1 space on the other side. Make Antlers:​ Join brown to the 2nd st from the ear, on top. Ch 3, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch, sl st in same as join. Repeat for other antler. Embroider Face. For The Spots: You can make simple circles for the spots, if you like: Round 1: ​Ch 2, sc 6 in 2nd ch from hook, (6) Round 2: ​Sc 2 in each st around, sl st to first sc. Finish off. (2) I made blue hearts, so that they would match Valley Children's George the Giraffe. I used the ​Tiny Crochet Heart pattern​ from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom.
