Verbs after : ​AVOID- CAN’T STAND- ENJOY- FINISHLOOK FORWARD TO- (NOT) MIND- MISS- PRACTISESTOPare followed by the ING form. The ING is also used after prepositions​: *I ​don’t mind​ com​ing​ to your house. * She is good ​at​ fix​ing​ things

Verbs after: ​AGREE- ALLOWASK- CHOOSE- DECIDEFORGET-HOPE- LEARNOFFER- PLAN- TRY- WANTWOULD LIKE/LOVE​- are followed by the TO INF form: *I​’d love to be​ in the park. *I​ hope to become​ a good photographer.

Verbs after: ​LIKE- LOVEHATE- PREFER- STARTare followed by either the TO-INF or the ING form: *I ​love​ tak​ing​ photos. I l​ove to take​ photos. *I ​prefer​ mak​ing​ my own posters. I​ prefer to make​ my own posters.
