The Short Narrative Essay Writing the introduction Read the following instructions. Write a short essay about an incident at a party in which a member of you family got drunk. The following is a sample answer to the instructions provided above. In this text the introduction is missing. Read the sample and write an intoduction to it. Sample text (Introduction)…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ………………. I recollect I was at………………………………………………………………………………………………………… my aunt´s forty-fifth birthday. The youngest members of the family were all sitting at ( Introduction) the same table where aunt Carla had placed some bottles of beer by mistake. My two elder cousins, who at that time were around sixteen, were quite competitive and loved challenging each other. On that occasion, Juan defied Tomás, his younger brother to drink eight glasses of beer non stop. Tomás thought it was nonsense and he was about to reject the proposal but I encouraged him to accept it. He started to drink up, one glass after the other, as he did his face turned red . When he was in his sixth shot , he stood up and headed to the toilet on unsteady steps. On his way, he passed by a china vase , stumbled and pushed it down onto to the floor. The vase broke into pieces and from it a cloud of dust scattered all over. My aunt screamed at the top of her voice “Rony”. That vase had my aunt´s beloved pet´s ashes. It was a real mess. Aunt Clara cried, the family tried to calm her down and Tomás was covered in ashes and to make matters worse he started to through out. Of all the events that could have taken place, it never occurred to me that party would end up in that way. I learned that I should never encourage anyone to take nonsensical challenges . I concluded I should think of the consequences before I open my mouth.
