“I don’t want to clean my closet,” whined Derek.

April replied, “Someday, I want to learn how to play the piano.”

“I have to leave school early today,” Ben explained, “because I have a dentist appointment.”

Jacob walked from desk to desk, offering his classmates a birthday cupcake. “I would prefer a chocolate cupcake, please,” Anne said politely.

When Grandma saw that I was reading Charlotte’s Web, she smiled. “I read that book when I was your age.”

6.

“We need to stop at the grocery store on the way home,” Mom mentioned to Dad as we left the movie, “because we are almost out of milk.”
